Use case ยท Elderly parents

Shopping for your parents, organised even from afar.

Grocery shopping for elderly parents works best with one shared list that the whole family can see. In Paniere you create a list for your parents' home and invite your siblings and the person who helps at home: anyone can add a product from wherever they are, and whoever goes to the shop finds it ready. The history shows what was bought and when, so you know the fridge is not empty even when you live far away.

Why is shopping for elderly parents hard to coordinate?

๐Ÿ“ž

The list arrives by phone

Your mother dictates the list on the phone, you write it on a scrap of paper, and the scrap stays in the car of whoever wrote it.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ

Siblings who do not talk to each other

One of you buys the water, another buys it again two days later, and nobody bought the medicine for the pharmacy run.

๐Ÿค”

The wrong product

Your father wants that specific milk, that brand of biscuits, the small pack. Whoever goes to the shop does not know, and brings back the wrong one.

How does Paniere help the family look after shopping for parents?

๐Ÿก

One list for their home

A separate list just for your parents' home, with the siblings and the carer as members. It does not mix with your own shopping.

๐Ÿ“

Notes and quantities

Every product can have a quantity, a unit and a note: "the lactose free one", "the small pack", "the usual brand". Nothing left to guesswork.

๐Ÿšฉ

What is urgent goes first

If something cannot wait, mark it as urgent: it moves to the top of the list with an icon, on everyone's phone.

๐Ÿ•‘

What was bought, and when

The history shows every product bought, the day and who bought it. From another city you know the shopping was done.

How do you organise the shopping for your parents with Paniere?

  1. 01

    Create the parents' list

Tap the list name at the top, then New list, and call it "Mum and Dad".

  2. 02

    Invite siblings and carer

From the list menu tap Invite someone and send the link. If your parents use an iPhone, they can join too.

  3. 03

    Add during the phone call

When your mother tells you what is missing, add it straight to the list. Whoever goes shopping sees it at once.

Frequently asked questions

Do my parents need to use the app?

+

No. The list works even if only the children and the carer use it: you add what your parents ask for and whoever goes to the shop reads it. If your parents have an iPhone, they can join with the same link.

Can the person who helps at home use it?

+

Yes. Invite them to the parents' list only: they will see that list and its history, not your other lists.

Does Paniere order the shopping for delivery?

+

No. Paniere is the shared list: it tells whoever goes to the shop, or whoever places an online order, exactly what is needed.

How much does it cost?

+

Nothing. Paniere is free on the App Store for iPhone, without in-app purchases.
