Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data the getpaniere.com website handles, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It covers this website only. The Paniere app has its own privacy policy, which you can read inside the app under Profile, Legal.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Valerio Foddai, Palermo, Italy. For any question about your data, write to us through the contact page.
What data the website handles
You can read the whole site without giving us any personal data. Data is handled only in these cases:
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, which you choose to send. We use them only to reply to you.
- Visit statistics, only if you accept them: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views anonymously, without cookies and without building a profile of you. We see totals, such as how many people read a page and which country or type of device they come from.
- Technical data: like any website, the servers that deliver the pages receive your IP address and browser type. They are used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and are not combined with other data.
- Preferences in your browser: your language (a cookie called lang, kept for 12 months), the light or dark theme and your privacy choices (a cookie called cc_cookie, kept for 6 months). They stay on your device and are needed for the site to work.
We do not sell data, do not use advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites.
Legal basis
- Contact form: answering a request you made (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- Visit statistics: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time from Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page.
- Technical data and preferences: our legitimate interest in running a working and secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who processes the data for us
- Vercel Inc. (United States): hosting of the website and visit statistics.
- Resend (United States): delivery of the messages sent through the contact form to our mailbox.
- Supabase (servers in Ireland): storage of the recipes and their photos. It receives only the technical data needed to deliver the files.
Where data is transferred outside the European Union, it is protected by the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Messages from the contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted. Visit statistics contain no personal data. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short time, for security only.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to statistics at any time. To exercise these rights, write to us through the contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Changes to this policy
If the way the website handles data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
